  • What is your delivery area?
    We currenlty only deliver within the 50 miles Dearborn MI, 48128 (except for wedding cakes which we deliver to all of Michigan). For more specific delivery questions please send us an email at cakes@wanicakes.com.
  • How early can I place an order for a cake?
    We require a minimum of 2 week notice for all orders. At checkout, you will be able to select a pickup or delivery date based on our bakery's schedule.We recommend that you place your order as early as possible to ensure your order gets into the queue to be baked. Some of our customers who order wedding cakes place their order up to a year in advance.
  • What happens if I am not at home for a delivery driver?
    We require you to be home to receive and inspect your cake. However, if our driver arrives while you are out, we will contact you to determine what you will like to do. If you decide that it should be left at your front door, you take full responsibility of the safety and integrity your cake. Note cakes are perishable products and to ensure safety need to be refrigerated if not being eaten immediately. You should also be aware that our cakes are made with real butter, therefore are affected by heat. Therefore if you cake is left at the door, damage of your cake may result. Note we cannot refund delivery charges and a redelivery charge will be applied for all missed deliveries.
  • Are your cakes gluten free?
    At the moment our cakes are not prepared in a gluten free facility. However, check back in future as we are constantly adding new products to meet your needs.
  • How do I store my cake after it is picked up or delivered?
    For pickup orders, you cake will be stored chilled and can be safely transported. We recommend that if you plan to use the cake more than 1 hour from when you pick it up, plan to refrigetate it as soon as possible to ensure freshness. For delivery orders, we recommend that you refrigerate them as soon as you receive them. Your cake can be safely stored in a refrigerator for 2 days and still maintain peak freshness. Our cakes taste best when served at room temperature, so we recommend taking it our of the fridge about 1-2 hour prior to your event and letting it thaw on an airy counter.
  • How long should I store my cake in the fridge for peak freshness and safety?
    Your cake can be safely stored in a refrigerator for 2 days and still maintain peak freshness. If you plan to keep your cake for longer periods, we recommend that you freeze it. When freezing your cake ensure it is stored in an air tight container. When you are ready to consume, first thaw it in the fridge for 3-4 hours and then in room temperature for 1-2 hours to bring it up to room temperature.
  • How do I serve my cake?
    Your cake tastea best when served at room temperature, so we recommend taking it our of the fridge about 1 hour prior to your event and letting it thaw on an airy counter.
